Parodoxical is a contemporary, edgy political satire in the form of a narrated concert, with powerful, biting progressive messaging to inspire the audience. Act 1 is set in September of 2022 and Act 2 is set in May of 2023. Performance time is about 110 minutes.

Parodoxical is written and produced by Alan Stillson and licensed by Stillsonworks. Licensing is available for fundraising events and for live theater production. Licensing terms feature a competitive licensing fee formula and artistic flexibility for the licensee.

Sample lyrics from two of the parodies:

GIVE US THAT FREEDOM FROM RELIGION

Based on Old Time Religion – traditional

WHEN RELIGION LEADS TO SLAVERY AND OTHER THINGS UNSAVORY,
SPEAK UP WITH ALL OUR BRAVERY AND MAKE SURE WE STAY FREE.

DO NOT LET THE FAR-RIGHT CHEAT US WITH THE WAY THEY VIEW A FETUS.
IT’S THE WAY THEY TRY TO BEAT US INTO MASS PASSIVITY.

YOU’RE NEVER TO SAY GAY IN MY STATE

Based on It's Not for Me to Say by Al Stillman and Robert Allen

YOU\’RE NEVER TO SAY WOKE IN MY STATE.
THAT WORD JUST MAKES ME CHOKE AND STINGS MY EAR.
FOR WE IN THE SUNSHINE STATE ADORE OUR PAST
AND WE REGRET THAT OUR JIM CROW LAWS DID NOT LAST.
